Stella (ALPHA) — price, funding and open interest
ALPHA/USDT perpetual on Kraken: price 0.0004600, 24h turnover $2K. Updated in real time.
What this is
Decentralised financeStella (Alpha Finance until 2023) offers leveraged borrowing for yield strategies: a user puts up their own funds, borrows more and enters a strategy with a larger size. The project survived one of the early era's largest exploits — forty million in February 2021 — and kept running under a new name. What this shows: leverage in yield strategies multiplies not only profit but also other people's mistakes in code; the coin is nearly a hundred per cent below its February 2021 peak. Here it trades on several venues.

What the data shows
ALPHA trades at 0.0004600. Over 365 days it ranged between 0.0002900 and 0.043300; the price now sits in the lower third of that range — 0% of the way from the yearly low to the high.

There is only one venue — Kraken — and no second price source: if it drifted from the market, there would be nothing to notice it by.
NATR is 2.30% on the minute and 2.48% on the hour — price grinds: the hourly range is barely wider than the minute one.
ALPHA correlation with Bitcoin over 24 hours is -0.23 — it goes its own way, barely looking at Bitcoin.
The daily range is 12.7% and five-minute NATR is 2.65%. That range is in the 61th percentile for the year — an ordinary day for it.
Over the day 0.00%, over the hour +4.07%, over the last five minutes 0.00% — it moved livelier an hour ago and has since gone quiet.

How to read this
- Funding is a payment between longs and shorts. A positive rate means longs pay shorts: the market is crowded long.
- The rate rank shows how unusual that rate is for this particular coin: 97 means above 97% of the last month, a rare skew. Without the rank the bare number says nothing — every coin has its own normal.
- Open interest is the money sitting in positions that are still open. Rising alongside price means new money entering; rising while price falls means shorts building up.
- The OI rank is measured in contracts rather than dollars: otherwise it would drift up with price alone and claim a record where nothing changed.
- NATR shows how much a coin moves relative to its own price. High NATR with high turnover is where today's action is.
