Steem Dollars (SBD) — price, funding and open interest
SBD/USDT perpetual on HTX: price 0.3948, 24h turnover $635K. Updated in real time.
What this is
StablecoinSteem Dollars is the stablecoin of the old Steem social network, meant to be a dollar but built unusually: it is backed not by a reserve but by the network's promise to issue a dollar's worth of STEEM at the current rate. Such a peg works while the network itself is worth something and breaks easily in a decline — which is why SBD has for years traded both above and well below a dollar. What this shows: the word «stablecoin» does not imply one design, and the first thing to check is what backs the peg. Here it trades on BingX spot.

What the data shows
SBD trades at 0.3948. Over 365 days it ranged between 0.3300 and 0.9209; the price now sits in the lower third of that range — 11% of the way from the yearly low to the high.
24-hour turnover is $635K — the 15th percentile for the year: trading is quiet.
There is only one venue — HTX — and no second price source: if it drifted from the market, there would be nothing to notice it by.
The daily range is 7.0% and five-minute NATR is 0.08%. That range is in the 32th percentile for the year — an ordinary day for it.
NATR is 0.06% on the minute and 2.67% on the hour — the move is choppy: within an hour price travels far and comes back.
SBD correlation with Bitcoin over 24 hours is 0.03 — it goes its own way, barely looking at Bitcoin.
Over the day -0.68%, over the hour 0.00%, over the last five minutes +0.08% — it moved livelier an hour ago and has since gone quiet.
By turnover it ranks 1030 of 1925 instruments in the screener.
By daily range it ranks 740 of 1925.

How to read this
- Funding is a payment between longs and shorts. A positive rate means longs pay shorts: the market is crowded long.
- The rate rank shows how unusual that rate is for this particular coin: 97 means above 97% of the last month, a rare skew. Without the rank the bare number says nothing — every coin has its own normal.
- Open interest is the money sitting in positions that are still open. Rising alongside price means new money entering; rising while price falls means shorts building up.
- The OI rank is measured in contracts rather than dollars: otherwise it would drift up with price alone and claim a record where nothing changed.
- NATR shows how much a coin moves relative to its own price. High NATR with high turnover is where today's action is.
