Recipient wallets

Where unlock recipients send their tokens

When a project pays unlocked tokens out to its team and investors, it shows up on-chain. We find those payouts and follow what recipients did next: kept the tokens or moved them — to exchange wallets, to contracts or to other addresses.

How we count

A payout is a set of transfers from the wallet that distributes unlocked tokens: a custodian (BitGo), a multisig or a vesting vault. Payout wallets come from project documents and are checked against on-chain transfers.

We only count what a recipient received in that payout — tokens they held before don't count. Windows are 1, 3 and 7 days from the payout's first transfer.

Exchanges are identified by wallets from their proof-of-reserves reports: OKX, Binance, Bybit. Other exchanges publish no open lists, so their wallets fall under “other addresses” — which makes “to exchanges” a lower bound. A deposit address counts when it forwards at least 90% of what it received to an exchange wallet within 48 hours.

For now: coins with discrete payouts on Ethereum and Base. Coins where recipients claim from a contract whenever they like, and other chains, come next.
